Lionel T. Engelman is President of Engelman Accountancy Corporation. He founded the firm in 1979 to deliver excellent accounting services in addition to the personal concern and professional care for which the firm is known. Prior to founding Engelman Accountancy, Lionel was a partner with Alexander Grant & Company (now Grant Thornton), an international accounting firm. He was designated a firm-wide specialist in litigation and at different times, headed the tax and litigation departments in San Francisco.
Lionel is a native Californian and has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area since he was six months old. He and his wife have two grown children and three grandchildren. When he is not reading the latest accounting news, he enjoys tennis, the ballet, and multimedia in his home.
